Camera History

1. A "camera obscura" is Latin for a dark room. This was the first camera and it was used to projet light into a wall by a hole that acted like a lens.

2. Isaac Newton and Christian Huygens understood the optics and the process of making high quality glass lenses.

3. The first modern camera had a glass lens, a dark box, and film.

4. They both pass light through the lens into the camera and passing film creating a photograph.

5. Digital cameras use a sensor called a CCD.

6.  On program mode you can actually use flash and other camera settings when in auto mode you really cant.

7. Portrait mode is when the camera attempts to blur out the background with the fastest available lens setting.

8. Sports is used to freeze motion and the camera will use the highest shuttle available.

9. You should do a half press on the trigger button because it focuses on the picture and makes it look better.

This is the disabled flash and you take it off whenever you dont want to use flash.
11. This is auto-flash mode and it uses flash when the camera thinks you need the flash.
12. If theres too much light in a photo its not gonna come out good and its going to throw off the color of the object youre photographing

13. When theres not enough light you wont be able to clearly see the object that youre photographing/

14. STOP is a measurement of light.

15. It has 1 stop when it has 2 suns.

16.  There would be 2 stops when theres 4 suns.

17. When there is a longer speed shuttle it has more light.

18. When there is a shorter speed shuttle it has less light.

19. It controls the openings that give more light.

20. You increase the amount of light by using larger openings.
